Dentures
Regain a full, functional smile with precision-crafted dentures — designed for comfort, stability, and a natural appearance.
About Dentures
Dentures are removable dental prostheses used to replace multiple missing teeth or a full arch of teeth. Modern dentures are far superior to their predecessors — today's materials and fabrication techniques produce prostheses that look remarkably natural and fit with much greater stability and comfort than older designs.
At Manya Dental, we provide both complete dentures (for patients who have lost all teeth in an arch) and partial dentures (for patients who still have some natural teeth remaining). We also offer implant-supported overdentures — a significantly more stable and comfortable option where the denture clips onto dental implants placed in the jawbone.
The process of fabricating a denture at Manya Dental involves multiple carefully planned appointments to ensure the fit, aesthetics, and bite are precisely right. A well-fitting denture restores not only your smile and chewing ability but also the facial support that is lost when teeth are missing.
How It Works
Assessment & Impressions
Detailed impressions of your gums and remaining teeth (if any) are taken. The relationship between your upper and lower jaws is measured to ensure the denture restores the correct bite and facial height.
Wax Try-in
A wax trial denture is made first, allowing you to see how the teeth will look and feel before the final denture is fabricated. Adjustments to tooth position, colour, and bite are made at this stage.
Final Fabrication
Once the wax try-in is approved, the final denture is fabricated in the dental laboratory using high-quality acrylic and dental-grade artificial teeth.
Fitting & Adjustment
The finished denture is fitted and checked for stability, bite, and appearance. Minor adjustments are made chairside for optimal comfort.
Follow-up & Review
Follow-up appointments are scheduled to fine-tune the fit as your gums adapt. Regular reviews every 12 months ensure the denture continues to fit correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about dentures at Manya Dental.
How long does it take to get used to wearing dentures?
Most patients adapt to their dentures within 4–8 weeks. Initial speech changes and mild discomfort are normal as your mouth adjusts. Eating softer foods initially and practising speaking at home accelerates the adaptation process.
How do I clean my dentures?
Remove dentures at night and soak them in a denture cleaning solution or plain water. Clean them with a soft brush and denture cleaner (not toothpaste, which is too abrasive). Always brush your gums, tongue, and remaining teeth before reinserting dentures.
Are dentures worn 24 hours a day?
Ideally, dentures should be removed at night to allow your gum tissues to rest. This also significantly extends the life of the denture and reduces the risk of gum problems.
How long do dentures last?
With proper care, dentures typically last 5–8 years before they need to be remade. Your gums and jawbone change shape over time, meaning the denture fit may deteriorate — regular annual reviews allow timely adjustments or replacement.
What is the difference between dentures and implant-supported dentures?
Conventional dentures rest on the gums and rely on suction and denture adhesive for stability. Implant-supported dentures clip onto dental implants placed in the jaw — they are significantly more stable, do not shift when eating, and prevent jawbone loss.
