How It Works
Digital Scan & Treatment Planning
A digital intraoral scan captures the precise shape of your teeth. Your orthodontist uses this to design the full sequence of aligner trays and show you your projected final result.
Custom Aligner Fabrication
Your personalised set of aligners is manufactured using medical-grade, BPA-free plastic. Each tray in the series is slightly different, moving your teeth progressively.
Wearing Your Aligners
You wear each set of aligners for 20–22 hours per day, removing them only to eat, drink (anything other than water), brush, and floss. You switch to the next tray every two weeks.
Progress Check-ups
You visit Manya Dental every 6–8 weeks for a brief check-up to ensure your teeth are tracking correctly and to collect your next batch of trays.
Retention
Once your final aligner is complete, a retainer is provided to maintain your new smile long-term — just as with traditional braces.

How many hours per day must I wear my aligners?

How do I clean my aligners?
Rinse your aligners with lukewarm water each time you remove them. Clean them gently with a soft toothbrush and clear (non-coloured) soap. Avoid hot water, as it can warp the plastic.
Is clear aligner treatment painful?
You may experience mild pressure for 1–2 days when switching to a new aligner tray. This is a sign the aligners are working. The discomfort is generally far less than traditional brace adjustments.
How long does clear aligner treatment take?
Treatment duration varies from 6 to 18 months depending on the complexity of your case. Simpler corrections may be completed in as few as 6 months.
